On 12th December 2025, AngloGold Ashanti Ghana brought together key stakeholders for an impactful Town Hall Meeting in Obuasi. The gathering united the Traditional Councils of Adansi-Obuasi, contractors, community leaders, and other distinguished guests around one shared vision: sustainable transformation.

At the heart of the conversation was AngloGold Ashanti Obuasi Mine’s 10-Year Socio-Economic Development Plan (SEDP) a bold, forward-looking roadmap designed to strengthen community partnerships and drive long-term socio-economic growth across the Obuasi enclave.
Stakeholders received detailed updates on the progress made under the SEDP, including milestones achieved, projects currently underway, and key priorities for the years ahead. The dialogue was open, solution-driven, and grounded in three core principles: collaboration, transparency, and shared responsibility.

For us at MAC Partners Group, the event carried special significance.
We were deeply honoured to be recognized by Obuasi Mine for our outstanding contributions to the Contractor Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Programme. This recognition is more than an accolade it reflects our belief that responsible business goes beyond delivering services. It is about investing in communities, creating opportunities, and contributing to sustainable development in meaningful ways.

We remain committed to supporting initiatives that uplift local communities and strengthen the long-term resilience of the regions in which we operate.
Because true progress happens when industry and community move forward, together.
