Something powerful is happening in Ghana’s technical education space and we’re excited to share it.
On 18th July 2025, MAC Partners Training Institute (MPTI) officially signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), Tarkwa. And this isn’t just paperwork it’s a bold step toward reshaping how technical talent is trained in Ghana.

At its heart, this partnership is about one thing: building a future-ready workforce for mining, oil & gas, manufacturing, and beyond.
So what does this mean in real terms?
🔹 Engineering students at UMaT will step beyond lecture halls and into MPTI’s state-of-the-art technical facilities in Obuasi, gaining hands-on industrial experience as part of their Engineering Practice program. Real equipment. Real environments. Real industry exposure.
🔹 MPTI trainees under the TACT (Technical Apprenticeship and Career Training) Program will benefit from strong theoretical foundations delivered by seasoned UMaT faculty ensuring practical skills are backed by academic excellence.
🔹 Together, we will develop industry-aligned certification programs, offered jointly or independently, designed to boost employability and meet evolving sector standards.
This collaboration bridges the gap between classroom theory and on-site execution; a gap many industries struggle with. By aligning academic excellence with practical expertise, MPTI and UMaT are creating a sustainable skills development model that supports students, employers, and Ghana’s growing industrial landscape.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. Seth Quaye, CEO of MAC Partners Group, and Prof. Richard Amankwah, Vice Chancellor of UMaT, for their visionary leadership in making this partnership a reality.
This is more than an agreement.
It’s a commitment to empowering talent, strengthening industry, and shaping the next generation of technical professionals.
And we’re just getting started.
