Senior Welding & Fabrication Instructor (Full-Time)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and certified Welding & Fabrication Instructor to join our team of industry experts. The ideal candidate will possess deep practical knowledge, instructional expertise, and the passion to train the next generation of welding professionals to international standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver in-depth training in Arc, MIG, TIG, and Gas Welding, and Structural Fabrication Techniques.
• Guide trainees through practical hands-on workshops and theoretical classes.
• Develop course content, lesson plans, training manuals, and assessment tools.
• Ensure all training aligns with international welding codes (AWS, ISO 9606, ASME) and Ghanaian industry needs.
• Supervise trainees during fabrication projects and safety-critical operations.
• Evaluate learners’ performance and issue competency-based assessments.
• Maintain welding equipment, workshop safety, and PPE compliance.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of MPTI’s technical training standards.

Minimum Requirements:
• Diploma or Higher qualification in Welding, Mechanical Engineering, or Fabrication Technology.
• Certified Welder or Welding Instructor (AWS, CSWIP, or equivalent preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of hands-on welding & fabrication experience, with at least 3 years in an instructional role.
• Proven expertise in SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, Oxy-Acetylene cutting, and blueprint reading.
• Experience in mining, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sectors is highly desirable.
• Excellent knowledge of welding codes, health & safety regulations, and inspection procedures.
• Strong communication skills and ability to mentor adult learners from diverse backgrounds.
• Fluency in English; French proficiency is an advantage (for Burkina Faso deployment).
